MILITARY CHALLENGE COINS,
BUILT BY ONE OF YOURS

Twenty-plus years Navy as a Senior Chief. We know what a unit coin should feel like — and we know what looks cheap. Built for active and retired military units across all branches: Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.

WHAT WE BUILD FOR MILITARY UNITS

UNIT IDENTIFIER COINS

The everyday coin every Sailor, Soldier, Airman, Marine, or Guardian on the unit carries. Issued at check-in, kept for life. Usually round, 1.75", soft enamel — built for everyday pocket carry.

COMMAND COINS

The CO / CMC / Chief coin — the one given out for performance, recognition, or because someone just earned it. Usually higher finish (hard enamel, dual plating, sometimes 3D relief), lower run.

DEPLOYMENT COMMEMORATIVES

End-of-deployment coins with cruise patch art, dates, port stops. Often the most personal coin in a Sailor's collection — Med cruise, WestPac, OEF, OIF, every named operation.

CHANGE-OF-COMMAND COINS

Outgoing CO / skipper / commander gift coins. Usually a small, premium-finish run for the wardroom or chiefs' mess. We do a lot of these.

RETIREMENT COINS

Ceremonial coins for retirements — often one-off or very small runs in premium finishes. The kind of piece that goes in the shadow box.

MEMORIAL COINS

Coins honoring fallen service members. We treat these the way they should be treated — extra care on the artwork, extra patience on revisions, no rush at any step.

NAVY CHALLENGE COINS

Sub coins, ship coins, squadron coins, fleet coins. Every Navy command we've built for has been different — and that's the point.

ARMY CHALLENGE COINS

Brigade, battalion, company, platoon. Special operations coins, divisional coins, MOS-specific coins. Send us your patch and we'll build to it.

CUSTOM MILITARY COINS FOR EVERY BRANCH

We've built challenge coins for every U.S. military branch. Navy challenge coins — ship's coins, squadron coins, sub coins, chiefs' mess and wardroom pieces. Army challenge coins — unit identifier coins from squad through brigade level, including special operations, ranger, airborne, and divisional pieces. Marine Corps challenge coins — MEU, BLT, MARSOC, recon, and barracks coins, plus drill instructor and chief warrant officer commemoratives. Air Force challenge coins — wing, squadron, group, and MAJCOM coins, plus aircrew and ALO pieces. Space Force coins for the newest branch's growing tradition. Coast Guard challenge coins for cutters, sectors, and air stations.

Every branch has its own conventions — the seal placement on a Navy unit coin is different from a Marine battalion coin; an Army challenge coin often centers the unit DUI while Air Force pieces lead with the squadron patch. We know the conventions and we'll honor them — or break them if that's what you want.

DEPLOYMENT, COMMAND & RETIREMENT

Deployment coins commemorate cruises, named operations, and operational milestones — they're often the most meaningful coin a service member carries because they map to a specific stretch of time and a specific group of people. We build them with cruise dates, port stops, ship hull numbers, and patch art. Command coins are the on-the-spot recognition piece — what a CO, CMC, or Chief hands a Sailor for outstanding work; what a brigade commander gives a soldier for a hard day. These run in higher finishes (hard enamel, dual plating, sometimes 3D mold) and smaller quantities. Retirement coins are the ceremonial pieces — one-off or very small run, premium materials, often engraved with name, dates, and service career on the reverse.

DESIGN YOUR MILITARY UNIT COIN ONLINE

Our free online challenge coin designer lets you sketch your unit's coin in about 60 seconds. Pick the shape, drop in your unit patch or upload your own art, set the plating to match the tradition (antique bronze for old-school commands, polished gold for the higher-end pieces), and toggle the back to add your motto or hull number. Submit when you're done — we'll send a refined production proof inside 24 hours, with unlimited free revisions until it's exactly right.

A NOTE ON PROCUREMENT

Most of our military orders are paid out of unit MWR funds or direct from the chiefs' mess / wardroom / unit fund. We can invoice in formats that work for those funds. For larger contracts, we're happy to register in SAM.gov and work on standard government POs.

We're a small veteran-owned business. The buyer talks directly to the founder, not a sales rep, on every order.
